Coaching

Coaching in women’s rugby league is a rewarding experience and great opportunity to expand your credentials as a coach.

The women’s game has seen former NRL coaches lead sides including the late Graham Murray and Steve Folkes, Rick Stone and Jason Hetherington.

There are also several women's coaches at the elite level in the game ranging from head coach, assistants and support staff.

In 2019, Kylie Hilder (Roosters) and Alicia-Kate Hawke (Dragons) were on board as assistant coaches at their respective clubs, while former Kiwi Ferns forward Luisa Avaiki was in charge of the Warriors.

The pathway for a coach in women’s sport is no different to a player’s journey.
