Halfback Jamal Fogarty returns after missing the Knights game due to illness so Matt Frawley switches to five-eighth to cover for the suspended Jack Wighton, who will miss two games. Club legend Jarrod Croker is part of the extended squad as he looks to play his first game of the season and 293rd of his career.

Panthers: Luke Garner is being rested as he battles some niggles so Scott Sorensen comes into the starting side and Lindsay Smith joins the bench. World Cup star Liam Martin remains sidelined with a hamstring injury and hooker Soni Luke is also out after suffering a head knock in Round 4. Tyrone Peachey is the new man on the bench to cover for Luke.

Rabbitohs: Prop Hame Sele returns from concussion protocols after the mandatory 11-day stand down and will come off the bench. Last week's debutant Ben Lovett goes to the reserves list. Winger Alex Johnston suffered a slight cork to his thigh against the Sea Eagles but will be good to go.

Storm: Just the one change to the team that beat Wests Tigers with Tom Eisenhuth joining the bench after being 18th man last week. He takes the place of Tyran Wishart, who goes to the reserves. With Jahrome Hughes still a week away from returning from suspension, youngster Jonah Pezet retains the No.7 jersey.

Dragons: Jack de Belin's calf had not quite recovered in time for the match against Cronulla but the former Origin back-rower has been named in the extended squad and could well be added to the 17 later in the week. Coach Anthony Griffin has stuck solid with the squad that suffered a disappointing loss to the Sharks, with Jack Bird named to start at lock and Zane Musgrove on the bench, although they did swap around on game day.

Dolphins: Anthony Milford moves from five-eighth to halfback to cover for Sean O'Sullivan (pectoral) and Isaiya Katoa returns from an elbow injury in the No.6 jumper. Tesi Niu (knee) is replaced on the wing by Jack Bostock, who makes his NRL debut. Hooker Jeremy Marshall-King is back from a two-week suspension so Mason Teague goes to the bench. Herman Ese'ese returns from a pectoral injury at prop, pushing Poasa Faamausili to the reserves.

Broncos: Coach Kevin Walters has named the same 17 that snuck past the Dolphins in a classic at Suncorp Stadium in Round 4. Forward Kobe Hetherington came back from a pre-season bicep injury via Hostplus Cup last weekend and is listed among the reserves as he chases a spot in the in-form Broncos side. 

Wests Tigers: Tim Sheens has stuck solid with his starting 13 from Round 4 with Adam Doueihi remaining at fullback and Brandon Wakeham in the No.6. Plenty of new faces on the bench with Jake Simpkin, Justin Matamua and Starford To'a coming in while Daine Laurie, Alex Seyfarth and Shawn Blore drop out.

Bulldogs: Favourite son Josh Reynolds will play his first game for the Bulldogs since 2017 when he comes onto the interchange bench for the injured Fa'amanu Brown (dislocated elbow). Franklin Pele returns from injury on the bench pushing Jayden Tanner to the reserves. Still no sign of Tevita Pangai jnr, who suffered a calf strain during a field training session and is being monitored by medical staff.

Cowboys: Winger Murray Taulagi (knee) and centre Gehamat Shibasaki (hamstring) are both out. Peta Hiku returns from suspension to fill the No. 4 jersey and Brendan Elliot comes in on the wing. The absence of Jeremiah Nanai (suspended) sees Heilum Luki promoted to the starting side and Mitch Dunn join the bench for his first game of the season. Youngster Riley Price will make his NRL debut off the bench in place of the injured James Tamou (foot).
