The NRL is gearing up for its biggest pre-season ever! The Pre-season Challenge will take place over 2 can't-miss weeks, starting on Thursday, 9 February and concluding on Sunday, 19 February.

The Pre-season Challenge is headlined by the inclusion of the English Super League Champions, St Helens - as they clash with the St George Illawarra Dragons.

On behalf of the NSW Government, welcome to the NRL Pre-season Challenge, proudly supported by our tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.

The NRL Pre-season Challenge is an exciting addition to the NRL calendar with fans from across the country and overseas flocking to Sydney and NSW to watch their teams compete for the first title of the 2023 NRL season.

Major events like the NRL Pre-season Challenge also make a vital social and economic contribution to the state, attracting thousands of supporters, teams and officials, who stay in our hotels, eat and drink at hospitality venues and spend locally, creating and supporting thousands of jobs across the NSW visitor economy.

The NRL Pre-season Challenge is part of an incredible line-up of major sporting events coming to Sydney and NSW as we head into autumn and winter, highlighting why our city and state is the best place to live, work and raise a family.
