Biography:

Ashleigh Werner went from bobsledding to Broncos as she made her NRLW debut in round 1 of 2023 against the Roosters. Werner qualified for the 2022 Olympics in Beijing but was deemed ineligible to race after contracting Covid-19 just before her final race of the year. Wanting to take some time away from winter sports, Werner was introduced to the Wests Tigers in 2022, yet decided to move to the Broncos in the same year that her original club were set to make their debut. In 2023, Ash slotted right into a starting role on the wing with the Broncos and didn’t fail to impress. Her fast acceleration and bursts of speed proved helpful to the team as she consistently broke tackles and ran for a total of 479 metres off 7 appearances.
