Justin is a ball-playing forward who made his NRL debut with Wests Tigers against the Eels at Leichhardt Oval in Round 17, 2022.
A Campbelltown City Kangaroos junior, Matamua progressed rapidly through Wests Tigers pathways teams, playing above his age-group in Harold Matthews, SG Ball and Jersey Flegg.
In the same year he made his NRL debut, Matamua starred for New South Wales U/19s Origin side.
He is in his second season in the Top 30 squad alongside several other local juniors who followed a similar development path.
Justin is contracted to the club until the end of the 2025 season.
