Max McCarthy, a promising young forward, has joined the Rabbitohs on a development contract for 2025, with plans to advance to the top 30 roster in 2026. McCarthy won the Sharks' SG Ball Cup Players' Player award in 2024 and contributed to the Harold Matthews Cup under-17s Grand Final in 2022.
