After debuting with the Broncos in 2016 as a 20-year-old, Tevita Pangai jnr went on to play 96 games at Brisbane before a mid-season switch to the Panthers in 2021 on a short-term deal before moving to Canterbury in 2022 as part of their rebuild. The Tongan international played 36 games at Belmore and made his Origin debut for NSW in 2023 before shocking the league world by announcing he was leaving the game to take up a career in boxing.
