One of the preeminent second-rowers of his generation, Matt Gillett scaled the heights of rugby league throughout a career that was unfortunately cut short by injury.
Still, with 200 premiership matches and great success for Queensland and Australia on his resume, Gillett achieved almost everything after debuting in 2010.
A renowned hole-runner who stung with his defence, Gillett is regarded as a Broncos legend having only played at Red Hill.
After suffering a fractured neck in 2018, Gillett bravely fought back the next season to represent the Maroons again but hung up the boots at the end of 2019 due to ongoing injuries.
