Wests Tigers stars have dominated voting for the RLWC2026 Team of the Week as players from seven nations topped polling in their positions.

In recognition of their best start to an NRL season since 2000, Wests Tigers winger Sunia Turuva, halfback Adam Doueihi, prop Terrell May, hooker Api Koroisau, secondrower Kai Pearce-Paul and lock Alex Twal were chosen by fans in the World Cup Team of the Week.

Turuva and Koroisau are set to represent Fiji at RLWC2026, which kicks off on October 15 and concludes with the Men’s and Women’s finals at Suncorp Stadium on November 15, while Doueihi and Twal will play for Lebanon, Pearce-Paul for England and May for Samoa.

Each week, fans vote for their RLWC2026 Team of the Week from players nominated after the previous weekend's NRL and Super League matches, who are eligible for the 10 nations contesting Rugby League World Cup 2026.

The RLWC2026 Team of the Week is announced each Wednesday.

There were more than 50,000 votes for the latest World Cup Team of the Week.

Toa Samoa and Australia, the finalists at the last World Cup in England in 2022, have the highest representation of any nation, with three players each – May and centres Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Simi Sasagi being set to play for Samoa and the uncapped trio of Jayden Campbell, Jackson Ford and Jacob Preston eligible for Australia.

Round 6: RTS says NO!

Campbell’s Titans team-mate, Kiwis fullback Keano Kini, also topped polling in his position, while winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, who has pledged his allegiance to Tonga, is one of three Warriors in the Team of the Week, along with Tuivasa-Sheck and Ford.

The Wests Tigers trio of Doueihi, Twal and Pearce-Paul are the only players from the previous RLWC2026 Team of the Week to have been selected again.

Twal was the most overwhelming choice, with almost 50% of fans voting for the Cedars star as lock ahead of Australia’s Pat Carrigan (Broncos), New Zealand’s Erin Clark (Warriors) and the English duo of Morgan Smithies (Raiders) and Ben Currie (Warrington).

Koroisau and Turuva both polled more than 40% of votes for hooker and winger, while there was strong support for Kini at fullback and Tuivasa-Sheck in the centres.
