A first-half double to Alofiana Khan-Pereira has laid the foundation for the Gold Coast to snap a three-game losing streak with a commanding win over the Sea Eagles.
The Titans produced a sizzling first-half display to jump out to a 22-8 half-time lead, before they adopted a defensive focus after the break to grind their way to a 28-8 victory.
The win was made more impressive by the absence of Queensland stars Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Moeaki Fotuaika, while Beau Fermor, who was dropped by Maroons coach Billy Slater, produced a crucial try-saving tackle midway through the second half.
Manly had opportunities to hit back, but they were unable to break down the Gold Coast defensive line and ultimately slumped to a second-straight loss.
The defeat came at a cost, with Jazz Tevaga placed in the head knock protocol after failing an HIA while Haumole Olakau'atu suffered a dislocated shoulder and left the field in a fair bit of pain.
Titans centre Phil Sami also limped from the field in the final minutes with what appeared to be a leg injury.

What a shot from Talau
Gold Coast then defended their way to victory in the second half, holding the Sea Eagles to zero after the break to secure their first win since Round 10. Manly had plenty of attacking opportunities, however their execution let them down as they struggled to break down the Titans defensive line.
Manly were also dealt a double blow, losing forwards Jazz Tevaga and Haumole Olakau'atu to injuries in the second. Titans centre Phil Sami limped from the field in the final minute of the clash, however the extent of the injury is not known. Titans 28 - Sea Eagles 8.
70th minute: Gold Coast have defended valiantly to hold out their opponents and now Chris Randall may have scored the try that seals the victory. The edge forward charged through a gap before overpowering a valiant Ben Trbojevic to ground the ball. Titans 28 - Sea Eagles 8.
61st minute: The Sea Eagles have been dealt a double blow after what looked to be their first points of the second half. Haumole Olakau'atu received the ball out wide and charged over Kieran Foran on his way to the line, however a try-saving tackle from Beau Fermor dislodged the ball before it was grounded. To make matters worse, the forward injured his arm in the play and he left the field in a fair amount of pain. Titans 22 - Sea Eagles 8.

Titans take Turbo out
54th minute: Manly's comeback quest has got a little bit tougher with Jazz Tevaga failing his HIA and ruled out for the remainder of the contest. The Sea Eagles have had all the moment in the past few minutes, however they have been denied by a desperate Titans defence. Titans 22 - Sea Eagles 8.

What a return by Brimson!
52nd minute: It's been an intriguing opening to the second half with some long passages of continuous play. Manly cracked first, handing Gold Coast an attacking opportunity, but they were unable to break through. Moments later, however, AJ Brimson caught a kick and took the ball back 60m before linking up with Phil Sami, who was eventually dragged down short of the line.
The Sea Eagles held firm from the subsequent set of six, before receiving a penalty to relieve all the pressure.
Amid the chaos, Jazz Tevaga suffered a head knock and left the field for an HIA while Titans rookie Josh Patston entered the contest for his NRL debut. Titans 22 - Sea Eagles 8.
Kick-off: We are back for the second half, with Manly kicking off. The Sea Eagles have plenty of work to do to get back in this contest but they've shown they can score plenty of points in a short space of time. For Gold Coast, the focus will be on standing firm defensively to eliminate any hope of a Sea Eagles fightback. Titans 22 - Sea Eagles 8.

At the half: AJ Brimson
Half-time: The Titans have dodged a bullet on the stroke of half-time, with Manly handed one last chance to attack. Ben Trbojevic poked his nose through the line, before offloading to brother Tom, who attempted a tap-on for winger Tommy Talau, however it didn't go to hand and the Titans will take a 14-point lead into the break.
It was an entertaining opening 40 minutes, with 30 points and six tries between the two sides. The hosts were willing to throw the ball around and created attacking opportunities in the process, while Manly had plenty of success down the right flank. An intriguing second half awaits. Titans 22 - Sea Eagles 8.

Reuben Garrick 2nd Try
26th minute: Something tells me this might be a high scoring affair tonight, with Reuben Garrick crossing for his second of the night. A penalty to Manly helped relieve the pressure before Toafofoa Sipley put his side on the attack with a powerful carry. A few plays later and Daly Cherry-Evans laid on a try for his centre to cut the deficit. Titans 16 - Sea Eagles 8.

Alofiana Khan-Pereira 2nd Try
20th minute: It's a titanic onslaught on the Gold Coast, with the hosts going back-to-back-to-back. A penalty put the Titans back on the attack and a left shift appeared to break down when Alofiana Khan-Pereira ran out of room, however the winger stepped back inside and danced his way past some poor Sea Eagles defence to score his second of the night. Titans 16 - Sea Eagles 4.

Allan Fitzgibbon Try
12th minute: The Titans have arrived at Cbus Super Stadium with an attacking mindset and they've already started to cause some issues for the Sea Eagles defence. On this occasion they've shifted the ball from a play the ball on the left flank all the way to the right, with Kieran Foran producing a cut-out pass to release Allan Fitzgibbon. The winger just beat the desperate cover defence to score inches inside the sideline. Titans 6 - Sea Eagles 4.

Kick off: We are underway at Cbus Super Stadium, with the Titans kicking off for a Friday night showdown. It's the first time since 2015 that Manly have no players in an Origin team and Daly Cherry-Evans is eager to send Billy Slater a message after he was dropped for Game Two. Gold Coast have endured a tough start to the season but there have been promising signs, particularly at home and they have the cattle to spring an upset tonight. Titans 0 - Sea Eagles 0.
