Two days after the thrilling Origin opener in Brisbane we kicked off Round 13 of the NRL with the Dragons hosting the Knights at Jubilee Stadium.

Both sides came into Round 13 just outside the top eight and the Dragons climb to sixth on the back of a solid 20-6 triumph.

The Knights had found their mojo in Bathurst with Fletcher Sharpe and Dylan Lucas in sensational touch but they could manage only one try at Jubilee Stadium in a disappointing performance.

The Red V have now won two in a row at Jubilee Stadium, upsetting the Storm in Round 4 and now taking care of the Knights.

Knights: Round 13

Great Dane: Knights veteran Dane Gagai reminded Maroons selectors of his class with 18 runs for 204 metres and eight tackle breaks. His battle with fellow Queenslander Val Holmes was an absolute beauty, both men coming up with some great defence and line breaks courtesy of their fancy footwork.

Dazzling debut: Former Rugby Sevens star Nathan Lawson made the most of his opportunity with 180 run metres from 17 runs. The two-time Olympian was assured under the high ball and ran the ball with plenty of purpose.
