Sitting 16th on the ladder but only one game outside the top eight, the Titans begin a pivotal stretch of three games all in their own region and all winnable should they turn up in the right frame of mind.

Starting with the Storm at home before travelling to Brisbane to face the Broncos and back home to face Manly, Des Hasler's enigmatic outfit gets a shot at three powerhouse clubs who will go in as favourites but could be vulnerable during the Origin period.

When their attack clicks the Titans are capable of beating anyone but their defence is currently the worst in the NRL, conceding 31 points per game, including a half century against the Cowboys and 40 against the Bulldogs and Raiders.

The Storm rollercoaster from Round 6 to Round 11 went W-L-W-L-W-L before a bye last weekend so they'll be searching for more consistency in the second half of the season.

Team News

Titans: Origin prop Moeaki Fotuaika goes to the bench and Jaimin Jolliffe will start the game in a late switch an hour before kick-off after fullback Jaylan De Groot and five-eighth AJ Brimson were ruled out on Friday. Brimson suffered a head knock at training on Thursday while De Groot has a minor hamstring strain. Jayden Campbell goes to fullback and Kieran Foran joins Tom Weaver in the halves. Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui has been added to the bench in his return from concussion. Origin reps Beau Fermor, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Fotuaika all back up from Wednesday night.

Storm: Maroons pair Harry Grant and Xavier Coates won't back up but Cameron Munster and Trent Loiero are set to play, with Loiero coming from the bench and Nelson Asofa-Solomona starting. Bronson Garlick takes over at hooker and Grant Anderson moves to the wing. Jack Howarth comes in at centre for his first match since Round 7 having recovered from a dislocated shoulder. Joe Chan has been added to the bench. Ativalu Lisati is 18th man.
