Warriors playmaker Luke Metcalf continues to lead the race for the Dally M Medal as voting goes behind closed doors but Roosters superstar James Tedesco is closing in fast after another slashing display against the Sharks.
Metcalf picked up one point in Sunday's loss to the Raiders to take his tally to 31 while Tedesco snared four points to climb to third on the leaderboard on 28 points. Splitting Metcalf and Tedesco is Sharks fullback Will Kennedy on 29.
Tedesco is looking to add a second Dally M Medal to the one he collected in 2019 while Metcalf is out to become just the second Warrior to claim the prestigious honour alongside Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in 2018.
Also making a move in Round 12 was Dolphins halfback Isaiya Katoa who picked up a maximum six points in his side's demolition of the Bulldogs on Thursday night.
The following night it was Eels No.7 Dean Hawkins who stole the show with four try assists and six Dally M points in Parra's emphatic win over Manly.
Voting will now go silent for the remainder of the regular season with the winner to be crowned at the glittering Dally M Medal ceremony in NRL grand final week.
