Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons co-captain Ali Brigginshaw has vowed fans will see a much-improved showing from her side on Thursday night as they fight to prevent a series defeat.
Challenged by coach Tahnee Norris on the first day back in camp after going down 32-12 at Suncorp Stadium, Brigginshaw said she and her fellow senior players knew what they had to do to turn thing around.

“We know we didn't perform, especially the senior girls, so it was on us to make sure we tidied that up and we do have experience, so it's not okay to perform like that in a Queensland jersey,” Brigginshaw said.
“We took that to heart and I don't think we've actually gotten over that loss.
“I think we'll use that fire going into Thursday.
“There's lots of learnings and there's lots of things that we can fix from Game One, so it's not panic stations, it's not changing the team or doing any of that; it's just about working on what we can do.
“I feel like we're back there again, like last year, and it's just about us.

“This week has been focusing on what we can do better.
“It's on us, it's on every individual.
“We need to do what we can do well and that's something that's been a big talking point.
“It's effort-based. It's not any fancy plays, it's not changing our game plan.
“It's just effort based, putting in more effort and being prepared for what we're going to face.
“(Our) debutants aren't debutants anymore; they've got a game under their belt – and I thought they played all extremely well.
“They're more experienced and we've got a job to do.”
One change however that has been made to the side has been the addition of experienced prop Chelsea Lenarduzzi, with Brigginshaw saying her Brisbane Broncos teammate would provide some leadership in the forward pack.
“Duzzi's a particular player that can be a leader, and that's probably what we missed is a bit of, leadership through the middle,” Brigginshaw said.
“I don't think she's come in to necessarily take one's spot because they weren't doing it.
“I think she's just come in to bring her leadership.
“She does have an offload and she's most likely always got a try in her.
“It's something that she brings to the team, but I'm just looking for her leadership with the group.”
