Dolphins wingers Jack Bostock has backed his side to bounce back after going to water in their second-half against the Raiders, with key players ready to spark up in Magic Round.
Preparing to face off against the Roosters – the team they first faced at Suncorp Stadium in their first ever match – Bostock said it was the perfect opportunity to rediscover the form that had them beating title contenders the Storm only a fortnight ago and put their 40-28 loss last week behind them.
“There is a rivalry, but also emotion that goes into that game,” Bostock said of the Roosters clash.
“It is going to be a great game and we will keep the rivalry going.
“The Roosters have been going well. We’ve been going well.
“I was there that day watching the (first) match. I wasn’t playing, but it was great.
“The boys went out and won our first-ever game filled with emotion and the Arthur Beetson Medal up for grabs.
“Fus [Felise Kaufusi] won it in the first game, which he still lets us know about to this day.
“We have a few players that rise to the occasion.
“There are a few boys that love the crowd. Herbie [Farnworth] and Hammer [Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow] tend to play well in front of big crowds.”

While Kaufusi and utility were both named earlier in the week, both were ruled out on Thursday morning, but hooker Jeremy Marshall-King has been given the all clear to return after sitting out the past few weeks after a leg laceration got infected.
With some key players back, Bostock said the side were keen to put what they had learned from their poor second half showing against the Roosters into action this round.
“JMK has been here the last three years and we know how much better we look when he is out there,” Bostock said.
“It helps everyone around him and to have him back will be a big help for all of us, the spine included. They really missed him.
“There is plenty that we learned (from the Raiders game). We spoke about it as a team … what we need to do to improve that against the Roosters.
“If we come out in the second half like we did on the weekend, it’s just not going to hold up in the NRL.
“We had a great first half and came out in the second half and we weren’t there from the get-go.
“Obviously the break from the kick-off and then the momentum switched.
“This week, we are going to come out the same way as we did the previous three weeks in both halves.”
