It was a round primed for four-digit totals, with the major captaincy choices all registering big scores and a host of the game's most popular stars doing well.

While it was a HLF and WFB who led the way, the top performers list was again dominated by MID and EDG players.

Wrapping up the week that was in NRL Fantasy.

Round 7 Fantasy winners

As the Panthers got back to winning ways against the Roosters, Nathan Cleary returned to the very best version of himself as a Fantasy player.

What separates the Penrith supremo from others is the breadth of his work across statistical categories, something which came through in Round 7 as he registered points in eight different categories on his way to a week-high 93.

Cleary makes history

While close to half of all teams opted to captain either Terrell May or Payne Haas, 12 percent received the full benefit of Cleary's big day out by giving him the 'c'.

As it happened both May and Haas proved to be fine captaincy choices anyway, scoring 86 and 73 respectively.

Terrell May Try

Those waiting for a breakthrough performance from a Knights WFB probably weren't expecting it to come from Greg Marzhew, but the powerhouse winger was simply brilliant on his way to an 88 which ranked him second for the round.

The $591k big man had 30 points from tackle breaks alone, along with a try, two line breaks and a try assist which will go down as one of the best of the season.

Fletcher Sharpe Try

Bulldogs MID Max King (1.33 percent ownership) was the point of difference player of the week, with his 86 points good enough for third equal.

In-form Raiders EDG Hudson Young continued his purple patch with two tries that helped him to 81 points, with Dragons DPP Toby Couchman joining him on that mark and Dolphins CTR Herbie Farnworth (74) following.

Hudson is unstoppable!

For the top scoring HOK in Round 7 you had to go back to 12th-ranked Connor Watson (67 points).

Round 7 Fantasy losers

A couple of errors and missed tackles on a generally quiet day for Xavier Savage ended in five points, while popular Broncos DPP back Selwyn Cobbo struggled on a wet Auckland night and had just eight.

Injuries ruined the week for well-owned HOKs Phoenix Crossland (10 points) and Max Plath (11 points).

Eels EDG/CTR Kitione Kautoga disappointed with a 16.

After suffering through Reece Walsh's poor Fantasy form to start the year – or in some cases after jumping on him in the past fortnight in the hope he'd bottomed out in price before finding form again – owners now face being without him for at least a month.

Walsh rocked straight from the kick-off

Walsh suffered a knee injury on his way to scoring 26 against the Warriors, with those who have him now facing an awkward choice as to whether he's worth a trade out at $466k.
