Panthers: A massive boost for the premiers with Nathan Cleary back in the No.7 after missing Round 4 due to concussion. Youngster Casey McLean comes in on the wing for Brian To'o (hamstring) while Scott Sorensen's absence with concussion sees Isaiah Papali'i move to the back row and Lindsay Smith come into the starting side at prop. Matt Eisenhuth is the new face on the bench.

Cowboys: Coach Todd Payten goes with the same 17 that took down the Raiders for the club's first win of the season. Prop Griffin Neame has been cleared of a hamstring injury after coming from the field as a precaution in last weekend’s win over the Raiders. Having returned from an ACL injury via Queensland Cup during the past month, centre Zac Laybutt is again listed among the reserves as he chases his first NRL appearance since Round 5 last year. Young halfback Thomas Duffy and hooker Karl Lawton are also listed among the reserves.

Ryley Smith has been named to start at hooker in place of Joey Lussick, who suffered a fractured thumb against Manly. Storm: Champion halfback Jahrome Hughes is listed among the reserves as he works towards a return from a hand injury. Tyran Wishart will again call the shots should Hughes not come up this week. Prop Lazarus Vaalepu has been added to the bench in place of Marion Seve in the only change to the side that lost to the Dragons.
