All eyes will be on Zac Lomax and Clint Gutherson as they line up against their former clubs for the first time as the Eels host the Red V at CommBank Stadium.

After conceding 88 points in their first two games the Eels have dug deeper in the past fortnight to only give up 42 points but they remain winless under new coach Jason Ryles.

The Dragons, meanwhile, found their defensive resolve to hold the potent Storm outfit to just eight points on Saturday to record one of their more memorable wins of recent years.

With Kyle Flanagan and Lachlan Ilias finding their groove in the halves and old heads Clint Gutherson and Val Holmes offering class and composure, the Dragons will fancy their chances of getting on a roll in the next month with games against the Titans, Sea Eagles and Roosters to follow the Parra game.
