The big boppers reigned in Round 5 as MID and EDG eligible players dominated the top scores in NRL Fantasy.

While the usual suspects performed well, a point of difference also emerged at HLF and a big gun suffered another injury blow.

Round 4 NRL Fantasy winners

Terrell May led a terrific week for MIDs by playing every minute of Sunday's game against the Warriors and coming up with a round-high 85 points.

While Payne Haas mania means it's been lost a little, May is now comfortably the second-best performing player in Fantasy with a 77.3 average, and in Round 4 he was captained by just under 10 percent of sides.

Speaking of Haas, he dropped slightly from his lofty 2025 standards to record 'just' a 67, with that score ensuring he creeps closer to joining the $1m club in coming weeks.

All up five MID eligible players finished in the top 10 for points in Round 4, with Sharks duo Cameron McInnes (74) and Addin Fonua-Blake (68) in the mix alongside Keaon Koloamatangi and Lindsay Smith, who both had 70.

Underpriced EDG keeper Jacob Preston scored a try and set one up en route to 77.

Jacob Preston Try

While players like May and Haas sit in almost half of all teams at this point, Cowboys HLF Jake Clifford, who had 72 points, sits in 0.42 percent of teams, making him the POD of the Week.

A Jake Clifford blitz

Still available at under $600k, Clifford looks likely to be a major trade target ahead of Round 5.

Round 4 NRL Fantasy losers

A knee injury ruined any chance Tom Trbojevic had at a good score, with those who sucked up his red dot last week rewarded with a disappointing eight points.

With early indications suggesting the WFB suffered an MCL injury, which coach Anthony Seibold said would typically side a player for "5-6 weeks", Turbo is a definite sell.

Turbo off with suspected MCL injury

Injury also saw Siosifa Talakai leave the field with a -3 after just four minutes.

Titans cheapie Jaylan De Groot was a popular cash down option this week but struggled to impose himself on his way to a 14, while Sharks fullback Will Kennedy was also underwhelming, with just 15 points to his name at the end of his side's loss to the Bulldogs.

Spencer Leniu crashed back to reality a week on from his 54 against the Warriors, managing 16 from a 42-minute stint in Round 4 which included 12 points being lost to demerits.
