The Dolphins are out to re-create last year's heroics as they chase a second-straight victory in the Battle for Brisbane.

Kristian Woolf's men will need a significant form reversal to replicate the 40-6 win, with the Dolphins still chasing their first victory of the season.

While they started well against Wests Tigers last week, they dropped away in the second half.

Fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow will be crucial to the Dolphins' chances at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night, with the representative star looking to cause headaches for the Broncos defence.

Brisbane returned to form with a 26-16 victory over the Cowboys last Friday night and they are eager to secure a second-straight win over an in-state rival.

Last year's defeat to the Dolphins was the Broncos first in the Battle for Brisbane and the loss remains fresh in their minds.

Team News

Dolphins: One change in Thursday's team update with Oryn Keeley dropping out of the side and Kenny Bromwich added to the interchange. Sean O'Sullivan and Josh Kerr remain in the wider squad. Jack Bostock and Kulikefu Finefeuiaki will be better for the run after returning from injury last week. No further changes on Friday night, with Sean O'Sullivan the 18th man.

Broncos: Star centre Kotoni Staggs returns from the quad injury that has kept him out of the first three games. Deine Mariner is the man to make way. Ben Hunt lines up for his 338th NRL game, moving him to equal ninth with Chris Heighington and Jesse Bromwich on the list for most premiership appearances. Brisbane will line up 1-17, with Tyson Smoothy the 18th man.
