Super Saturday had huge significance for two sides chasing their first win of the season and two others looking to remain unbeaten after three rounds.
The Titans triumphed to get their 2025 campaign off the mark and end Newcastle's winning start to the season, while the Sharks inflicted South Sydney's first defeat.
The Rabbitohs were one of the surprise packets of the opening two rounds, but they proved no match for the Sharks, who turned entertainers in the first half to score a stunning 27-12 win.
Wests Tigers came from behind to down the Dolphins and make it back-to-back wins away from home for the first time since 2021, leaving their Brisbane rivals yet to register a win after a disrupted start to the season.

Titans v Knights – Round 3, 2025
The Titans big guns stood tall to spearhead their team to a comprehensive 26-6 defeat of Newcastle and end the Knights winning start to the season.

David Fifita played 53 minutes after coming off the interchange and scored a try, while Keano Kini was always a threat with the ball and safe in defence at the back.

Jack Bostock Try
Wests Tigers have gone from the worst defensive team in the NRL last season to the best after the opening two rounds and coach Benji Marshall said he is proud of the turnaround.
"As a coach, you want to see your team fighting not only to score points, but more importantly, not let them in," Marshall told Fox League.
"And just on the goal line, the fullback's getting the numbers right, the effort's put them on the ground, and then also fighting within the system to stop the try so it's been good so far, but you have got to back it up again today.
After being forced to relocate their opening game to Sydney and spending last week in Newcastle due to Cyclone Alfred, Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf said his side was pleased to be back at home.
"It's been a really funny sort of start to the season, we've been on the road for two weeks in a row and a little bit all over the place in terms of where we train and what's going on," Woolf told Fox League.
"It's been great to be back at home, have a little bit of routine and great to have a home game. I thought we were a bit off in all departments last week and discipline certainly meant that we did a lot of defence at the start, but we need to be better at that as well."

Pre-game spotlight on Jamie Humphreys

Rabbitohs coach Wayne Bennett: "He's been good, Jamie. He's a bit unsung, I didn't know much about him, but I remember saying to him halfway through the pre-season, you'll be in the 17 because I just liked what he was bringing to training. He got an opportunity to play halfback, which is probably his preferred position, and he's made it his at the moment".

Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon: "He's been really measured. He looks like he's got a good temperament, to control the team and, and kick strong, and a bit like the team that he's playing for, they're doing the, the simple stuff really well. That's allowed him to, to stay calm and obviously Cody Walker to steer the ship around, to execute their plays. But we'll have a hands full with him today and we'd like to think he's got his hands full too".
