The Knights have made it back-to-back wins to open the 2025 season with a dominant victory over the Dolphins at McDonald Jones Stadium.
With Kalyn Ponga at his damaging best for the second week running, the Knights went 2-0 to start the season for the first time since 2022.
The Dolphins have had a disrupted opening fortnight after being relocated to Sydney for their Round 1 clash with the Rabbitohs and then heading to Newcastle early to prepare for Round 2 due to the extreme weather event in Queensland.

56 min: Another repeat set for the Knights after a Kalyn Ponga grubber but Jack Cogger puts the ball down inside the Red Zone and the Dolphins survive.
50 min: Jacob Saifiti heads up the tunnel nursing a corked thigh and seems unlikely to return for the Knights.
45 min: The Knights go further ahead after a strong run by Adam Elliott gets them into the back field and Fletcher Sharpe busts the line and sends Dylan Lucas over for a try. Kalyn Ponga's conversion makes it 26-6.
43 min: A mistake by Kai Pearce-Paul opens the door for the Dolphins but Josh Kerr returns the favour and the opportunity is lost for the visitors.
Half-time: On the back of 20 of 23 completed sets and five line breaks to one, the Knights take a 14-point lead to the sheds. In a superb first half Kalyn Ponga came up with three try assists and three line break assists to go with 109 run metres. In the battle of the Saifiti brothers it's Newcastle's Jacob leading the way with 101 metres from nine runs in 24 minutes of game time while Daniel played 25 minutes but made just 35 metres from four runs.
