The final round of the 2025 Witzer Pre-Season Challenge kicked off on Friday night with 2023 champions Manly suffering a shock loss to Penrith to drop out of contention while the Eels' loss also spelt the end of their title chances.

Wests Tigers fans were made to wait another fortnight to see Jarome Luai, Api Koroisau and Sunia Turuva but Adam Doueihi returned and enjoyed a good night along with new recruits Terrell May and Jack Bird.

For the Panthers, halfback Trent Toelau controlled the game beautifully while David Fale and Falefa Letoi racked up big metres.

With the Witzer Pre-Season Challenge set to go down to the wire, bonus points will be absolutely critical, with points up for grabs for 5+ tries, 5+ line breaks and 10+ offloads.
