New Zealand’s most decorated band SIX60 are looking forward to helping celebrate Harvey Norman NRL All Stars as the half-time entertainment for the men’s match.

Currently touring Australia on their ‘The Grassroots Tour’ the multi-award winning, multi-platinum band who were formed in Dunedin are stopping by CommBank Stadium to perform some of their hits.

“It's all the things that we hold dear and that we love to celebrate,” lead singer Matiu Walters told NRL.com.

“It's just such a good fit that we're here and we're excited to be here and watch the game.

“We get to perform a couple of songs and get to celebrate two beautiful cultures, so we're really excited.

“This is kind of like the first ‘big’ date of the season, so it's a good way to kick off the season.

“I feel for them (the players) a little bit because it’s not a soft entry into the season – although there is light and it’s beautiful and cultural out there – I think they're going to express their culture in how hard they're going to go tomorrow, so I am looking forward to seeing that.”

While they have plenty of songs to choose from, Walters said one of their songs simply picked itself.

“It is really hard, it is really hard to pick, but ‘(Don’t Forget Your) Roots’ is obviously a song that has kind of put us on the map and everyone associates with us, so it's hard not to play that song,” Walters said.

“It also does capture all those cultural significance in the song, so we're going to do that.

“And then the other … it we’ll just sort of pick! But we'll keep this as a surprise.”

NYC-via-Sydney R&B singer Mi-kaisha will be performing at halftime of the women’s match.

Tickets for Harvey Norman All Stars 2025 are available from nrl.com/tickets, starting at $25 for adults and $75 for families (two adults and two children).
