Dragons: Shane Flanagan has named a near-full strength side for Sunday's trial against the Roosters. Off-season recruits and new co-captains Clint Gutherson and Damien Cook will line up at fullback and hooker respectively, with Kyle Flanagan to partner Lachlan Ilias in the halves. Former Raider Emre Guler will also run out in Dragons colours for the first time, joining Toby Couchman in the front row. Hame Sele will play his first game since Round 23 last year where he left the match with a heart concern and has been named on the bench. Development players Jonah Glover, Lyhkan King-Togia and Nathan Lawson will have an opportunity to show their wares.

Roosters: Former Cowboy Chad Townsend slots in at halfback in his first game as a Rooster and will partner Sandon Smith at the scrumbase. Victor Radley, Nat Butcher, Spencer Leniu and Dom Young are the headline acts while plenty of eyes will be on Mark Nawaqanitawase as he looks to build on his lone NRL appearance in Round 27 last year.
