Georgia Roche tried to recruit support for England in the historic Test against Australia at Allegiant Stadium after meeting the winner of Dreamworld's Rugby League in Las Vegas giveaway.

Roche, who is set to be among the NRLW stars in the England team to play the Jillaroos on March 1, helped Lindy Treharne, Jose Costa Carvalho and Stella Costa Carvalho celebrate their once in a lifetime trip to Las Vegas.

“It was nice to meet them," Roche said. "Lindy's partner is from Portugal and they have lived in London, so I did my best to convert them to England supporters.

"They have got a young daughter, she is only seven and from what I could gather she just loves female athletes, so they are keen to see the girls play in Vegas."

Lindy, who was left absolutely stunned and overwhelmed with excitement upon hearing the news that she had won, revealed how she had been manifesting something big and thrilling to happen this year.

“I still can’t believe it. I’ve always dreamed of something exciting happening this year, but winning a trip for Rugby League in Las Vegas is beyond anything I could have imagined,” Lindy said.

“I’m so grateful to Dreamworld and the NRL for this opportunity, and I can’t wait to experience it all with my group.”

The prize includes return flights to Las Vegas, tickets to Rugby League in Las Vegas, and three nights of accommodation, ensuring Lindy and her group enjoy an unforgettable experience at the heart of the action.

Roche, who plays five-eighth for England, was a member of Newcastle's 2023 premiership winning team is preparing for her third NRLW season with the Knights.

“Rugby League in Las Vegas is a huge step for the sport, and it’s amazing to see fans like Lindy getting the chance to be part of it," she said.

“We went on a couple of the rides, including one that has just opened in December, called Jungle Rush. I could gather from their reactions that they were still in shock and couldn’t believe they were going."

Dreamworld’s director of sales, Chris Osborne, said that Dreamworld was thrilled to partner with the NRL to reward its loyal guests.

“Dreamworld and the NRL are such an iconic Australian collaboration – we're thrilled to have Lindy and Georgia here to experience Rivertown and wish them the best of luck before the big trip to Vegas," he said.
