Wests Tigers again showed plenty of heart and spirit against the Cowboys last week but once again their maiden win eluded them, despite Losana Lutu scoring the last try of the match to go down 24-22.

The Dragons also fell in a close match, outgunned by the Raiders in a high-scoring 38-34 loss.

After starting on the back foot, the Dragons clawed their way back into the game - carried mostly by some eye-catching individual efforts of leading try scorer Teagan Berry - who scored the first and last tries of the game for her side - but it wasn't enough to net the side their third victory.

Both are proud clubs and have teams with stacked with talent, so the opening match of Round 8 on Thursday night is set to be one with plenty of points on offer for fans.
