Wests Tigers v Dragons: Two to debut; Return of King

Wests Tigers again showed plenty of heart and spirit in their game against the Cowboys last week, but once again their maiden win eluded them, despite Losana Lutu scoring the last try of the match to go down 24-22.

The Dragons too fell in a close match, outgunned by the Raiders in a high-scoring 38-34 loss.

After starting on the back foot, the Dragons clawed their way back into the game - carried mostly by some eye-catching individual efforts of leading try scorer Teagan Berry - who scored the first and last tries of the game for her side - but it wasn't enough to net the side their third victory.

Both are proud clubs and have teams with stacked with talent, so the opening match of Round 8 on Thursday night is set to be one with plenty of points on offer for fans.

Team News

Wests Tigers: Some new faces come into the squad after a number of injuries last week. Montana Clifford is out after a head knock, with debutante Claudia Brown to come into the second row, while Shaianne McGlone picked up a suspected knee injury. Tiana-Lee Thorne has a finger injury, with Claudia Nielsen coming onto the wing for her NRLW debut. Leianne Tufuga's return moves Pauline Piliae-Rasabale to the bench, while Jessica Kennedy is the 18th player.

Dragons: A big in this week with the return of Tyla King who slots straight back into the five-eighth role to pair with Raecene McGregor. Her return moves Kasey Reh to hooker and Sophie Clancy to 18th player. In a shuffle of the forwards, Madison Mulhall will start at prop, with Jamilee Bright to come off the bench.
