After a slow start to the season, the Broncos have come galloping out of the blocks to be one of the in-form teams of the competition, winning five on the trot in the lead-up to this big clash against the Sharks.

NRLW SportsBet Betting Preview - Broncos v Sharks

Last week, Brisbane headed to Newcastle and raided their home fortress by claiming the two points with a late win, with former Knights captain Romy Teitzel on-song for the visitors scoring a try and slotting four important conversions in the 32-24 victory.

Cronulla however were handed a hammering blow last week against the Roosters, with their first loss of the season being a heavy 40-0 defeat, a result completely out of line with their standing at the top of the ladder.

The Sharks will no doubt be putting that result behind them as they head to Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast, a venue they have already enjoyed success at this year after defeating the Titans 22-4 in Round 6.

Team News

Broncos: The Broncos are 1-17 with no late changes on game day. Lauren Dam is the 18th player. Tazmin Rapana has served her one-game ban for Dangerous Contact but has not been included.

Sharks: A number of late changes with Emma Tonegato shifting to fullback, Cassie Staples to the wing and Georgia Hannaway coming in at five-eighth afte recovering from an ankle injury that has sidelined her since Round 3. Nakia Davis-Welsh drops back to 18th player. On Friday, Filomina Hanisi was added to the bench for her Sharks debut against her former team in place of Olympian Sharni Smale, who will increase her minutes with a stint in the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership.
