NRLW Late Mail Round 6: Southwell a chance to return

Newcastle's star halfback Jesse Southwell is a chance of returning for her side's match against Wests Tigers, while the Raiders have named three key ins for their important game against the Roosters.

Knights v Wests Tigers, Sunday 12noon at McDonald Jones Stadium

Knights: Last week's debutant Evie Jones is listed as halfback, but Jesse Southwell has been named in the reserves after missing last week due to concussion protocols. In Saturday's team update, Southwell remained in the extended squad and she is still a chance of coming into the side on Sunday. Sheridan Gallagher has been added to the starting side after Abigail Roache was ruled out with a pectoral injury. Viena Tinao comes on to the bench as a result.

Wests Tigers: In the 18th player role last week, Shaianne McGlone comes into the centres for this match, with Rikeya Horne rested as per HIA protocols. McGlone has played four games already this season in the second row. One change in Saturday's team update with Tess Staines coming into the centres for Leianne Tufuga who has been ruled out with a knee injury. Iemaima Etuale and Evie McGrath have dropped out of the extended squad.

Broncos v Cowboys, Sunday 1.45pm at Totally Workwear Stadium

Broncos: Forward Annetta-Claudia Nu'uausala makes her return after serving a four-game suspension, pushing Lauren Dam into 18th player duties, with Skyla Adams reverting to the reserves alongside Mariah Denman, Bree Spreadborough and Jasmine Fogavini, who is making her return from a shoulder injury. No changes for the Broncos in Saturday's team update, Dam and Adams remaining in the extended squad.

Cowboys: Makenzie Weale is out after suffering a head knock, bringing Sareka Mooka and Shaniah Power to the bench. Shellie Long moves to the reserves. As has been the case for the past few weeks, co-captain Tallisha Harden was named to start with Lily Peacock on the bench, but they are likely to swap. Libby Surha has dropped out of the squad in Saturday's team update, with Francesca Goldthorp making her return from a back injury on the wing. New signing Lavinia Tauhalaliku remains in the reserves after joining the club from Manly’s Harvey Norman NSW Premiership team, with Lillian Yarrow the other player still in the extended squad.

Roosters v Raiders, Sunday 6.30pm at Allianz Stadium

Roosters: With Jayme Fressard sidelined with a two-match suspension, Taina Naividi - who played lock last week - comes onto the wing. Tiana Davison is the new lock, while Otesa Pule will start at prop for Mya Hill-Moana, who came off late in the loss to the Titans for a HIA. Shannon Rose and Brydie Parker remain in the extended squad after it was trimmed to 19 players on Saturday.

Raiders: A number of changes for the Raiders when the squad was trimmed to 19 players on Saturday, with forwards Monalisa Soliola and Sophie Holyman dropping out. Grace Kemp replaces Holyman in the frontrow while last week's debutant Felice Kaufusi comes into the second-row. Ash Quinlan returns in the halves and Shakiah Tungai on the wing. Sereana Naitoktoka and Kere Matua move onto the bench and are joined by Amelia Pasikala. Centre Cheyelle Robins-Reti has been named, despite suffering a suspected shoulder injury last week. Relna Wuruki-Hosea is out of the side after accepting a one-match ban for a careless high tackle.
