Titans halfback Lauren Brown has carried her State of Origin form into the opening round of the NRLW season to take the early lead in Dally M voting.

Brown's kicking game was instrumental in the Titans' win over the Dragons, her towering bombs proving a nightmare for the opposing back three in windy conditions at WIN Stadium.

The Maroons playmaker forced a pair of dropouts and nailed her long-range tactical game as well.

Raiders five-eighth Zahara Temara also opened her season in style with a try and four goals in a win over Wests Tigers to earn five Dally M votes.

Parramatta fullback Abbi Church ran for 131 metres and had two tackle breaks to also pick up five votes in an upset victory over the Broncos.

Last year's Dally M winner Tamika Upton made a solid start to her season with three votes in the win over the Roosters in the season opener.
