How to win Bundy Mixer

Zag while the others zig

If you go with the crowd in Mixer then chances are you'll stay stuck with the crowd. Finding point of difference (POD) players who haven't been selected by many coaches is crucial to you jumping ahead of the pack.

Players like Nathan Cleary, Isabelle Kelly, Tamika Upton and Payne Haas will always be popular picks, and for good reason as they're great Mixer players.

While there'll be weeks players like them are obvious pickups, it's crucial you also find alternatives who might have a higher ceiling for a particular Game Week and who are owned by less than 10 percent of teams.

Target favourable matchups

A halfback coming up against a team leaking points like a sieve? A right-side player facing a left edge with a bunch of new players on it? There are lots of things to look out for which suggest a particular player or players are set for a big Game Week in Mixer.

Finding these advantageous matchups doesn't require hours spent in front of a spreadsheet and often is as simple as looking at a team's recent results or how opposing Mixer players went against them in earlier encounters.

Recent examples (and this is generalising a bit) include opposing MIDs often struggling against the Sea Eagles due to their style of play and the halfbacks tending to register big scores when playing against the Dolphins this season.

Check in on NRL Late Mail regularly

In Mixer there are no emergency players, which means if one of your selected players doesn't end up taking the field it's tough luck and you lose the chance to rack up points.

Therefore, it's a good idea to keep an eye on any potential late injury withdrawals or team changes, which might impact your Mix.

Bundy Mixer MID: Who Am I?

Mixer runs on a rolling lockout system which means you can add or remove a player from your team at any time provided it's before their game has kicked off each Game Week.

This includes Boosted players, who can be changed or traded within the rolling lockout rules.

Apply all of the above especially closely for your Boost players

With only six players scoring points each Game Week, it's absolutely critical that you select the right Boost players.

Boost applies to one NRL and one NRLW player each week and means that those selected players receive double points. Small margins matter, with a 20-point difference in a score becoming 40 and having the potential to propel you up or down hundreds of places on the leaderboard.

Nail your Boost players each week and you're partway there to having a hugely successful Mixer 24 season.
