A player with unprecedented strike in the Origin arena, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has scored nine tries in six games and will look to add to his tally when he runs out for the decider on Wednesday.
The only player to score in six consecutive games from their debut, with a strike rate of 150, the Maroons centre is on track to overtake the record of 18 Origin tries held by Queensland icon Greg Inglis, who achieved the feat across 32 games.
“Yes, hopefully (I can score another try), scoring tries is the good part about it,” Tabuai-Fidow said.
“The boys set me up as well. If I do get over for a try next week, I am going to be pretty happy about it.
“I am just excited to (hopefully) score at Suncorp and in front of our fans.”

Despite missing club games with Dolphins after suffering an AC joint injury Queensland’s Game Two loss in Melbourne, Tabuai-Fidow said he would be ‘sweet’ to play, but needed the time off the field to recover from his injury.
“I hurt my shoulder and had to come off a bit there, I went in the sheds, got a needle and got back out there,” Tabuai-Fidow said.
“Obviously, it was a bit sore after the game, I’ve never had an AC injury to the shoulder before.
“The pain was lingering, but having the week off and the bye helped with the recovery and it settled down.
“Coming into this week, it felt pretty good and it should be pretty sweet.”
One player who has come close to Tabuai-Fidow’s try-scoring success for Queensland is Valentine Holmes with eight scored in his career, a tally set up after crossing for a four-pointer in each of his first five games.
Moved to the left wing to partner with his former North Queensland Cowboys teammate for the decider, ‘The Hammer’ backed Holmes to perform in the pressure game.
“We have all seen what he can do on the wing. He can score a couple of tries there too," Tabuai-Fidow said.
"He has been a big help to me as well. He has shifted from centre to wing and has given me a few tips on playing centre.
"Having him outside me makes me feel more comfortable. We all know what he can do and the confidence he has within himself as well.
“He is a world class player and the things he can do on the field is good for the team. I am excited to see how he goes next week.”
