About Toni Hunt
Toni Hunt is a former NRLW player who was was forced to step away from the game during the 2021 season as she was diagnosed with stage four cancer. She then underwent 12 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatment and was advised the cancer was in remission before making a return in 2023. Unfortunately, during the 2023 season she was then informed that the cancer had returned and that she would need to undergo vigorous chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments again. Toni is a fiancé to her partner Tahu and a mother to her three children: Corden, Kaiya and Jai. Toni is now undergoing trial treatments that she has been advised may be a more viable treatment option for her specific cancer. This treatment carries a huge financial burden for the family.

About the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation
Australia has the highest rates of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer in the world and the stats are alarming – melanoma is the most common cancer among 15-39 year olds in Australia, and one Australian dies from melanoma every six hours. Education and early detection are key to lowering the rate and to saving lives. Skin cancer does not discriminate and impacts people year-round – “any season is a reason to get your skin checked”. The funds donated to the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation will go towards a second skin check truck that will provide skin check services across Australian communities in need.
