After the series was kept alive with a thrilling field goal finish, Queensland and New South Wales now head to Townsville to battle it out for the Women's State of Origin shield.

The Sky Blues made a roaring start in Game One before the Maroons came back from the six-point deficit to win 11-10 in Newcastle, taking the game to a series decider at Queensland CountryBank Stadium.

Sportsbet Betting Preview - Maroons v Sky Blues

Sky blues coach Kylie Hilder has the luxury of fielding the same 17 that she took to both Brisbane and Newcastle having been impressed with her side's defensive resolve and execution despite going down to Queensland in the final stages of Game Two.

Meanwhile, Queensland coach Tahnee Norris has stuck with halves pairing Tarryn Aiken and Ali Brigginshaw who were handed the reins in Game Two after Brigginshaw featured at lock for Game One.

While the Sky Blues got the job done against the Maroons in last year's decider in Townsville, the Maroons still clinched last year's series on points aggregate and that's set to give New South Wales plenty of motivation in camp.

Team News

Queensland: Chelsea Lenarduzzi is the new addition on the bench after Destiny Brill was ruled out. Keilee Joseph has been promoted to the starting side with Sienna Lofipo out with a PCL injury, with Sophie Holyman on the interchange. Zahara Temara is the replacement player.
