Two of the competition’s most prolific attacking sides meet in a blockbuster clash this Friday, with both the Broncos and Roosters looking to solidify their standing in the top eight.

Since meeting on opening day in Las Vegas two months ago, both clubs have endured their share of ups and downs, but head into Round 9 fresh off dominant last-up victories.

Brisbane ran the Wests Tigers off the park last Saturday in an electric attacking display, which saw Reece Walsh star on the back of a strong platform laid by Patrick Carrigan and co up front.

The 34-10 victory was the fifth game in a row in which the Broncos have scored 28 points or more and their 37 tries to date puts them behind only the Roosters (38) in terms of most tries through eight rounds.

The Tricolours registered 10 of those tries in the space of 80 minutes on ANZAC Day as they thumped the Dragons 60-18, with Sam Walker putting on a playmaking masterclass for coach Trent Robinson.

The Broncos are undefeated at home this season, while the Roosters lost in both their trips to Suncorp Stadium last year and had a third 2023 loss in Brisbane, which came against the Broncos at The Gabba.
