The VB Hard Earned award is back for 2024 with the NRL’s hardest-working players once again being recognised for their individual efforts in each match of this year's Telstra Premiership.
The index will reward players who rack up the most runs, tackles, supports, decoys, offloads, charge-downs, line engagements and tackle-breaks in each game of the round.
Players are given an index score based on their output and the highest-scoring players in each position make the Team of the Week.
Broncos prop Payne Haas topped last year’s VB Hard Earned Index Team of the Year after finishing the 2023 season with 1,733 points from his 19 games at an average of 91.2 points per game.
Warriors prop Addin Fonua-Blake finished just 12 points behind on 1,745 points from 22 games.
The other members of last year's VB Hard Earned Team of the Year were Dylan Edwards, Sunia Turuva, Jesse Ramien, Herbie Farnworth, Brian To'o, Cameron Munster, Nathan Cleary, Damien Cook, Briton Nikora, David Fifita and Isaah Yeo.
