Alofiana Khan-Pereira has made a stunning revelation he has bulked up over the off-season by adding an extra 10 kilograms to help him continue dominating the NRL in 2024.
Taking the competition by storm with an incredible 20-try maiden year for the Titans - the accolade breaking club records earning the title for most four-pointers in a season - the 22-year-old has spent the pre-season at Parkwood working on his size to add another string to his bow alongside his points-scoring prowess.
But despite gaining more muscle for the season ahead, the fast flyer has promised he hasn't lost his blistering speed that made him such a strike weapon for the Gold Coast on the left edge.
"I've put on almost 10 kilos... but my speed hasn't changed. I've just been trying to handle the extra weight and where I can front load my energy with that," Khan-Pereira said before the Christmas break.
"It's always been hard to gain weight and keep the same speed, but I think I've been able to find that balance and I feel good."
Alongside the increase in playing weight, Khan-Pereira wants to raise his try-scoring bar even further as well, vowing to beat his record again in 2024 with the Ken Irvine Medal in his sights - a goal that he initially set in his debut season.
"I'm hoping to definitely score more," he said.
"I just want to keep working on the one percenters and there's things I can do off the footy as well, so I guess I'll just have to show everyone want I can do."
Making his mark from the get go in the 2023 Titans trials, all eyes will be on the freakish flyer in this year's pre-season fixtures to see how his off-season hard work has enhanced the 23-gamer even more.
The Gold Coast's first trial will come against the Dolphins at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Sunday, February 18, before the Titans take on the Parramatta Eels in the second trial at North Ipswich Reserve.
