After a fruitless 2023 campaign, the Parramatta Eels will be out to reverse their fortunes in 2024 with a fan-friendly draw potentially the key to the blue and gold's finals aspirations.

Playing exclusively on Saturday and Sunday means there's no five-day turnarounds on the schedule for the Eels in 2024, while their run home to the finals features several games at CommBank Stadium – which could be a boost for the side.

Day-by-day breakdown

  • Saturday: 3 games (2 home, 1 away)
  • Sunday: 6 games (3 home, 3 away)

Turnaround time

  • 5 days: 0 games
  • 6 days: 1 game
  • 7 days: 5 games
  • 8+ days: 2 games

There are no five-day turnarounds for the Eels in 2024 while just one six-day turnaround will be required between their Round 4 game against Wests Tigers and Round 5 game against the Knights – both of which are in Sydney.

Opening month

  • Round 1: v Broncos (A)
  • Round 2: v Sharks (H)
  • Round 3: v Cowboys (A)
  • Round 4: v Wests Tigers (A)

The Eels face a daunting first month to the season where they play just once at home – a game at Allianz Stadium which features as part of an NRLW doubleheader. On the plus side, they do take on three teams which didn't make the finals in 2023 with a Round 1 clash against the Broncos their toughest early game.

NRL and NRLW Doubleheaders

Parramatta will take part in a Brisbane doubleheader in Round 1 before featuring as part of NRLW doubleheaders at Allianz Stadium and Totally Workwear Stadium in Brisbane in Rounds 2 and 3 respectively. They'll host the Dragons in Round 6 in an NRLW and NRL doubleheader between both sides before closing out the regular season with a home game at CommBank Stadium as part of a two-game NRLW program.

Can't miss game

Round 6 v Dragons, Saturday at CommBank Stadium (H)

They might have to wait until Round 6 to play their first home game at CommBank Stadium but it'll be a day worth waiting for with a strong crowd expected to fill the stands for an NRL-NRLW doubleheader between the Eels and Dragons. The Red V were big winners when the two sides met early on in 2023, so the blue and gold will have their eyes firmly fixed on exacting their revenge in this one.
