Brisbane Broncos and Penrith Panthers fans are the most hopeful of seeing their teams feature in this season’s grand final, with members from both clubs snapping up tickets to this year’s decider.
The first release of tickets for the 2023 NRL and NRLW Telstra Premiership grand finals on Sunday, October 1 went on sale from 11am on Wednesday this week, with members from both clubs combining to secure 42 percent of all tickets purchased on the first day of sale.
Both team members claimed 21 percent of tickets sold, with Penrith fans keen to watch their side secure a rare three-peat, while Brisbane supporters making the trip to Sydney’s Accor Stadium will be hoping for a better result than their last trip down in 2015.
The Panthers and Broncos currently sit in first and second spot on the NRL ladder, while Rabbitohs (in sixth spot) and Eels (just outside of the eight) fans are the next most optimistic group of members with both sides each making up eight percent of total sales.
Parramatta fans know to be the best you have to beat the best, with their side having a tough final few rounds of competition to contend with, facing off against the Broncos, Roosters and Panthers in their final three rounds.
The Rabbitohs, who moved back into the eight following a strong win against the Tigers last round, have a bye up their sleeve to help in their hunt for a finals place.
The resurgent Warriors have their fans looking into a trip across with ditch, with seven percent of sales coming from the New Zealand team’s members.
Tickets for the general public went on sale at 11am yesterday and start from $59 for adults and $169 for families.
