A round featuring some big scorelines and a record-breaking defensive effort led to some huge Fantasy performances, with two players hitting triple figures.

Here is the wrap of the weekend that was on the NRL Fantasy front.

Round 22 Winners

A bumper round for HLFs saw Jahrome Hughes top the week with a 103-point haul, just ahead of Panthers ace Nathan Cleary on 101.

Hughes had a bit of everything in his performance against the Eels in Melbourne, laying on four try assists, making three line breaks and scoring a try himself in one of the best individual attacking displays of the season.

Jahrome Hughes turns it on

With the Storm playmaker owned by just over 4 percent of teams, it meant that if you had him, you likely had an immediate leg up on most of your opponents.

Cleary meanwhile bounced back from a relatively quiet return from injury last week, with an incredible 781 kick metres giving him 26 points base points, which he added two try assists, three offloads to hands and four goals to.

J'maine Hopgood followed on 88, while Cameron McInnes' remarkable defensive effort against the Panthers, which saw him set a new NRL record with 81 tackles, helped him to a score of 85.

Queenslander's account for the next three spots, with Dolphins MID Jarrod Wallace (80), Titans EDG David Fifita (74) and Knights CTR Dane Gagai (74) enjoying big games.

Latrell Mitchell made a fantastic return after a long layoff with a calf injury to register 69 and be the leading WFB, followed closely by his teammate Alex Johnston, who scored three tries on his way to 66.

Round 22 Losers

Twelve minutes off the bench for Kyle Flanagan in the Bulldogs win against the Dolphins was all bad news on the Fantasy front, with the HLF ending up on -2 points.

A failed HIA early in the game for Connelly Lemuelu – who is owned by 13.5 percent of all teams – saw him score just 4, while Sharks WFB William Kennedy suffered a hamstring injury in the opening minutes and had just 1 point.

After some good scores as a starting back-rower Klese Haas crashed back to earth with 9 off the bench, which saw him miss his break even of 15, while the arrival of Joey Lussick at the Eels had a massive impact on Brendan Hands (9).

Joey Manu's lowly 15 was particularly damaging given the CTR/WFB is owned by 22 percent of all teams.
