Spurred on by the return of their Origin big guns, the Broncos made a big statement against the Sharks on Saturday, jumping three places into second in the NRL Power Rankings after Round 14.

The Broncos continued to stake their claim as 2023 premiership contenders, with a commanding 20-12 win over Cronulla on Saturday which has seen them land equal to their standing on the NRL ladder in second.

Meanwhile, welcoming back his trio of Origin stars and centre Campbell Graham from injury, South Sydney have bounced back to third place after an 18-point win over the Titans on Saturday.

After falling to the Raiders in Round 13, Jason Demetriou's side soared five places to also match their NRL ladder position at third.

Penrith have retained their top-spot in the Power Rankings and the NRL ladder after holding out the Dragons 26-18, despite the early loss of halfback Nathan Cleary to a hamstring injury.

Conversely, the Dragons 10th loss for the season has left them languishing in 16th place in the NRL Power Rankings and the Telstra Premiership ladder.

The Warriors are the other big movers for the week after shutting out the Dolphins 30-8 in Auckland, moving four places to sit sixth in the rankings after Round 14.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys secured their first victory since Round 11 after running in five tries in the second half to stun the Storm 45-20. Todd Payten's side moved three places into 12th ranking, two spots above their ladder position.

The Dolphins, who sat third in the rankings after Round 10, are the big fallers this week, dropping from fourth place all the way to 11th after their loss to the Warriors.

A bye has the Eels up two places ahead of Monday's King's Birthday clash with the Bulldogs, who sit at 14th in the rankings.

Parramatta also have the biggest variation between rankings position and actual ladder position, sitting five spots higher than their current standing of `12th on the Telstra Premiership ladder.
