In the first Origin-affected round of the year, some familiar names stood up for Fantasy coaches as Canberra duo Corey Horsburgh and Joseph Tapine shone in the Raiders' win over the Rabbitohs.

Adam Reynolds returned from injury to star in Brisbane's win over the Warriors while Newcastle's left edge ran riot in their come-from-behind win over Manly.

Round 13 Winners

Greg Marzhew and Bradman Best had a field day on Newcastle's left edge against Manly, chalking up 84 and 59 points respectively. Teammate Dominic Young also got in on the point-scoring with his mesmerising run in the final moments taking him to 58 points and the Knights to their fifth win of the year.

Overlooked for Origin selection, both Corey Horsburgh (80 points) and J'maine Hopgood (60 points) scored well in their side's respective wins, while Josh Papali'i chalked up 72 points after his recent representative retirement announcement.

Big Papa too powerful

Popular players Jack De Belin (63 points) and Connelly Lemuelu (56 points) produced welcome numbers for coaches with several stars not available – Kalyn Ponga's growing ownership number seeing a 45 point return from the Knights star.

Warriors trio Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (79 points), Addin Fonua-Blake (79 points) and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (71 points) scored well against the Broncos but the real point of difference was Dragons hooker Jacob Liddle, with the less than one percent owned rake posting 78 points in his side's tight loss to the Dolphins.

Dallin is dynamite

Round 13 Losers

A cult hero at Magic Round, Valynce Te Whare was one of the most popular players available in Round 13 with an ownership level of near 18 percent finding themselves very disappointed with his two-point performance off the bench for the Dolphins.

Dolphins teammate Isaiya Katoa – who was the most popular player available this week with Nathan Cleary on the bye – also struggled and scored just 15.

Joe Ofahengaue's club debut for the Eels took a turn for the worse as he went off with a calf injury early on and didn't return, scoring 10, while in-form Raiders centre Matt Timoko had his quietest game for a few weeks with only 14 points.

Coaches were left hoping from more from two young fullbacks in Keao Weekes (18 points) and Tyrell Sloan (20 points), while Lachlan Miller ($553k) was an unused interchange off the bench for the Knights and did not feature in the round.
