Opening month
Parramatta start their campaign against the Wests Tigers in a local derby of sorts between two clubs expected to see some player movement between both. The Eels will then hit the road to clash with the Dragons in Wollongong before facing the defending premiers Newcastle in a grand final rematch at home in Round 3.
The run home
The Eels will do plenty of travelling in the final three weeks with trips to the Central Coast, Gold Coast and Canberra scheduled. Their Round 7 clash with the Roosters will be a standalone event while their meetings with the Titans and Sharks will be on neutral turf as part of two women's double-headers.
And another thing...
With no Thursday game at all throughout the season, Parramatta will have a relatively settled schedule in terms of turnaround time – alternating evenly between six and eight-day breaks between games for the first seven rounds of the year.
