Daly Cherry-Evans had his second monster Fantasy performance of the year, Nicho Hynes was brilliant as usual and a couple of Dragons surprised with big scores.
Here is a wrap of the round that was from a Fantasy perspective.
Round 7 Winners
Daly Cherry-Evans delivered his second 90+ score of the season to finish far and away the top player of Round 7, with his 92 points putting him 19 clear of fellow HLF Nicho Hynes.
While for DCE the performance came after back-to-back 50s, Hynes now boasts a last-three game average of 80 and could jump in price yet again after Round 8.
Hynes steps up
Panthers MID Isaah Yeo made the most of all 81 minutes he played in his side's golden point win over the Knights, making 47 tackles on his way to 71 points, while a try and try assist helped Eels CTR Will Penisini to 70.
David Fifita and Jack de Belin both scored 67, putting them just ahead of the in-form Payne Haas and South Sydney duo Latrell Mitchell and Jai Arrow on 66.
Haas is the top ranked MID in the game and hasn't scored under 62 points this year.
Tautau Moga, who is owned by well under one percent of teams, was the surprise of the weekend with a two-try showing that included over 200 run metres in his first NRL outing of the year, putting him on 65 points alongside Eels MID Reagan Campbell-Gillard, while Blayke Brailey topped the HOK scorers with 64.
Campbell-Gillard muscles over
Kurt Mann looks like being a beneficiary of Jayden Brailey's misfortune, with the $508k MID, HLF getting 57 minutes and scoring 60 points in the new Knights' forward rotation.
Round 7 Losers
An early knee injury for Jacob Kiraz saw the previously high-performing WFB score just three points, and he is probably a sell for most of his owners after confirmation he is set to miss three weeks.
A very quiet attacking game for Xavier Coates, coupled with two errors and two missed tackles, saw him score just nine, while possible cash cow Toby Couchman, who nearly 23,000 teams traded in ahead of Round 7, crashed back to reality with 12 points in an 18-minute showing.
Roosters WFB Joseph-Aukuso Suaali’i is in over 13 percent of all teams, but disappointed with a 17.
While their scores were far from disastrous, given they are both owned by over 26 percent of all teams Bryce Cartwright's 28 and Lachlan Miller's 27 were disappointing outcomes, and in the case of Cartwright his demotion to the bench could signal time to move on from him.
