Complete guide to Easter Round 2023

Outside of the traditional matches at Accor Stadium, iconic grounds from Melbourne to the Gold Coast are set to feature across the Easter long weekend with a number of must-see matches in Round 6.

Thursday will kick off the Easter festivities when the Roosters travel to AAMI Park to meet with the Storm before the traditional Good Friday clash between the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs at Accor. Later that day will see a Queensland derby between the Cowboys and Dolphins in Townsville for the first time.

Easter Saturday and Sunday will see games spread along the east coast of Australia with the Broncos hosting the Raiders at Suncorp on Saturday before the Panthers and Sea Eagles meet at BlueBet Stadium.

The Dragons and Titans will clash on the Gold Coast on Sunday afternoon while the Knights host the Warriors under the lights of McDonald Jones Stadium.

The Easter weekend will wrap up with the traditional Western Sydney derby between Wests Tigers and the Eels, a Wests Tigers home game this time around which will see the fixture played at Accor Stadium.

• In 2015, a Good Friday grand final rematch between Canterbury and South Sydney erupted into mayhem when referee Gerard Sutton awarded the Rabbitohs a controversial penalty in the dying minutes. Centre Bryson Goodwin kicked the penalty goal to hand the Rabbitohs an 18-17 victory.
• 2019's Easter Monday fixture aligned with the first-ever Parramatta Eels home game at CommBank Stadium. Halfback Mitch Moses became the first player to score a try, goal and field goal at the new venue as the Parramatta Eels downed Wests Tigers 51-6 in a memorable day out for the blue and gold.
• In 2022, a 38-metre field goal by Jackson Hastings as time expired delivered a thrilling 21-20 win for Wests Tigers over the Eels for the first time at CommBank Stadium.
