Matchups to target in Bundy Mixer Gameweek 5

Shenae Ciesiolka

The 25-year-old is in fine form right now on the Brisbane right edge and she’s got a high ceiling in Mixer. Last week she hit 75 points to finish as the best WFB in Gameweek 4, thanks in large to scoring a try and making three line breaks. While there is some risk that comes with banking on a player who doesn’t have huge base stats, Ciesiolka is taking on the last-placed Eels and could have a big day out.

Nicho Hynes

With Nathan Cleary not an option this week, Nicho is your man when it comes to selecting a HLF. Such is the Cronulla playmaker’s ability to generate base stats, he is going to score well no matter how tough his opponent is. Last week – albeit in a 93-minute game – he clocked 90 Mixer points and across the season averages 69.5 per game.

The Raiders’ front row

Joseph Tapine and Josh Papalii are the form propping duo in the NRL right now, and last week they combined to dominate the Storm in the middle of the park, with their Mixer scores reflecting that as well. Tapine had 85 points, with his usual base numbers topped up by a try assist and whopping three line-break assists. Papalii scored 55 in his 58 minutes on the park, with 168 run metres and nine tackle breaks to his name. Either of these two is a good pick at MID. 

Isabelle Kelly

The top scoring CTR in Mixer last week. The return of some big attacking stats, including a try assist and 80-metre try for herself, saw Kelly clock up 82 points. I like her chances to do well again this week against a Titans side who showed improvement in round 4, but will likely still struggle to contain the Roosters’ prolific attack.
