Knights resolve disciplinary matter with Klemmer

Newcastle have resolved disciplinary matters involving David Klemmer after the forward was issued with a show-cause notice earlier this week relating to on-field disciplinary matters following the side's Round 20 defeat to the Bulldogs.

The Knights confirmed on Friday that "mediation involving Klemmer, his management, and the Knights has resolved the matter".

The parties have agreed to the following course of action:

• Klemmer has accepted his responsibility for failing to follow direction
• Klemmer has been issued a suspended fine, which will remain confidential.
• Klemmer resumed training with his teammates today.

Klemmer has not been named in the Knights' team for Round 21, marking the first game that the 28-year-old has missed since his return to the team in Round 5.
