The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce the re-signing of Head Coach Dean Widders for the 2022 NRLW season commencing in August.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill said that the extension of Dean’s contract was important for the Club as they continue to build the NRLW program in preparation for its second season.
“It’s important to have continuity from our inaugural season as we look to build an even stronger platform for the upcoming season with a connected playing group. Dean’s experience and his strong connection with our Club was beneficial in building our program and we look forward to that continuing in 2022.”
Dean Widders said he was excited to build on the progress the team made in its inaugural season.
“I’m proud of how our team represented Western Sydney, they took on the responsibility of promoting the game for aspiring young athletes and they gained a lot of fans along the way.
“For me personally, this Club is my second home and I think we are creating a great environment to be a part of. I value the relationships I have with our playing group and our staff, they challenge me every day and it’s been exciting to see the positive impact that our younger players have had on our squad.”
