The NRL Telstra Women's Premiership finals series kicks off this Sunday where the stakes are at their highest, and the real athletes stand up and impress.

Only the two best teams progress for their chance to experience Unreal Glory.

Here's all you need to know about the NRLW finals series.

When are the NRLW finals?

The NRLW semi-finals are on this Sunday, April 3 at Leichhardt Oval.

St George Illawarra will play Gold Coast at 12.00pm, followed by Brisbane against the Roosters at 1.45pm.

What were the final standings after round five of the NRLW season?

Broncos (1st), Dragons (2nd), Titans (3rd) and Roosters (4th).

Parramatta (5th) and Newcastle (6th) missed the finals.

How does the NRLW finals format work?

Both winning sides in this weekend's matches will progress to the NRLW grand final on April 10. 

Is this the first-ever NRLW finals series?

Yes, this is the first-ever NRLW finals series. The four teams all qualified after five regular season rounds.

What's on for fans at the games?

NRLW partners will be making the NRLW Telstra Premiership semi finals series extra special this season. Come on down to Leichhardt Oval on Sunday to receive mini footballs to fans in the stands thanks to Chemist Warehouse.

Fans can also get their face painted and hair braided all thanks to Harvey Norman. 

Telstra will also be giving away a jersey via their in game fan cam.

Where can I watch the matches?

If you can’t get to the game, both matches will be shown live on Channel Nine, Kayo and Fox League. Check your local guides for more information.

What happens if scores are level after 70 minutes in the finals?

In the case of a requirement for golden point in the semi finals and grand final, five minutes extra time each way will be played (regardless of how many points are scored).

If, after 80 minutes, the game remains a draw, unlimited golden point will be played, with no change of ends or time limit, until a point is scored to determine the winner.

How many interchanges per side during a game?

There will be a total of 10 in regular time (with two interchanges available in the case of golden point)

Does the six-again rule apply in the NRLW?

No, teams will be awarded a penalty instead of a six-again repeat set.

Are there any other rules different from the NRL?

Yes, the 40/30 and 20/50 kick advantage rules will apply in the NRLW, providing further tactical kicking and unpredictability during matches

What else will be in play during a game?

One on-field referee, NRL Bunker in use, injury Surveillance - including the management of head injuries and/or concussion, judiciary procedures and shot clocks.

Where is the NRLW grand final being played?

The NRLW grand final will be played at Moreton Daily Stadium in Redcliffe on April 10.

Why is this competition being called the 2021 competition when it's being played in 2022?

The delay of the competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 means the upcoming season will still be referred to as the 2021 NRLW season, with a second competition to be scheduled later in the year prior to the World Cup.
