Sam Verrills has failed in his bid to escape a suspension at the judiciary on Tuesday night and will miss the Roosters' next two matches.
A grade two careless high tackle charge meant Verrills had to win at the judiciary in order to play against Manly next weekend. Having now received a two-match ban, the Roosters will need to reach the grand final for Verrills to play again this season.
The incident in question is a 36th-minute tackle on Titans centre Brian Kelly on Saturday night.
